It has been a busy month at the tennis club.
The Spinfire Plus 2 Tennis Ball Machine is now up and running. The booking system is now in place and the machine can be booked through the normal court booking system. We will have on court practical one hour tutorial sessions over the coming weeks.
On the tennis courts, the Spring Doubles came to a conclusion and Finals Night was a great success. Thank you to the Social Committee who organised pizzas on the night. The club pavillion was busy with onlookers and supporters, well done to all the finalists.
Our Winter League Phase II teams were in action throughout the month of March. Our Mixed Grade 5 team went out at the quarter final stage in spite of a spirited performance versus Nenagh. Our Grade 6 Green team defeated our neighbours Limerick Lawn and march on to the semi-final at the end of April. Well done to Barry O’Shea who organised a great entry this year.
The Junior Tour 100 Open took place over the weekend of March 15th & 16th. 120 entries and very successful weekend under the stewardship of coach Sinead Dunne. Grades u12’s up to u18’s, boys and girls.
