Junior Tennis Lessons

CIAC JUNIOR TENNIS LESSONS – Autumn 2024 Term

Our new junior member coaching term will commence on the weekend of Friday 27th September 2024. Lessons will take place again on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This is an eight week term which will run from September to November.

Coaching

Children must be CIAC club members to take part in the coaching programme.
Each group’s coaching day and time are listed on the booking form.
Cost for 8 week term (one hour lessons):- €55 for first child, €45 for second child and €35 for third child.
Cost for Senior Squads:- €75 for full 8 weeks, €55 for 2nd child.

Academy Program:

We have been delighted how much the standard of the groups has improved over the past year and now want to introduce an academy section to the program

Transition Squad:

Children who want to get better at their tennis and want a group of like-minded peers. These children are one of the best in their club groups but still a bit off making the senior squad or competitive programs

Senior Squad:

15yr -18 yr olds Saturdays 9am -10.30am

** Must be a certain standard to join this session (contact sinead at sineadciac@gmail.com)

Junior and Elite squad:

These squads are suitable for players that want to take their tennis more seriously and have a level of skill that allows them to play in local and provincial tournaments. Invitations will be sent out for this but if you wish to apply for this program contact Sinead at sineadciac@gmail.com to see if your child is a fit for this program. Children will be playing 1.5 – 4 hours tennis per week

Coaching Schedule

Head Coach – Sinead Dunne

Sinead Dunne is our Tennis Ireland Head Coach.

Sinead has over 15 years experience coaching tennis and has coached numerous provincial and national players. Sinead is the current Connacht Performance Director and has been hugely involved with the Munster performance team over the last 5 years. Sinead recently received the ‘Munster Tennis Coach of the Year award for 2021’.

Known for technically and tactically knowledge she was the non playing captain for the winning u14 interpro team 2017 and the winning non playing captain for the senior team 2018 when munster won the triple for the first time. Sinead has also been non playing captain for Junior Irish teams travelling abroad. With a huge love of schools tennis Sinead has coached many teams to munster school success.
